Exciting opening for graduate at Kent law firm
An exciting opening for a graduate interested in the legal profession has arisen at leading Kent law firm Furley Page.
The highly respected two-year Trainee Solicitor Programme, starting in September 2018, will give the successful candidate vital knowledge and experience of working at a large regional firm of solicitors, and act as a strong platform for a successful career in Law.
The 24-month contract typically consists of four terms – which could include Corporate & Commercial, Dispute Resolution, Employment Law, Real Estate, Elderly and Vulnerable Client, Family Law, Personal Injury and Private Client, Trusts and Estates – giving trainees a wide variety of skills.
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a strong academic record in their chosen discipline, which is not restricted to Law, and must have already completed their degree with a minimum classification of 2:1.
Furley Page has consistently received outstanding results in top independent national legal guides Chambers UK and The Legal 500, while two lawyers from the Kent-based firm have been named in the first Chambers High Net Worth guide for lawyers operating outside London.
Furley Page Partner, Neille Ryan, who is the firm’s Training Principal said: “The Trainee Solicitor Programme is a fantastic opportunity for those wanting to learn the skills needed for a long and successful legal career.
“Furley Page has an unwavering commitment to nourish young talent, many of those who have gone through the scheme have achieved great things in their careers in Law and with our high trainee retention rates, very often with us. In addition to a strong academic background, the successful candidate will have impressive inter-personal skills, be commercially aware, and have work experience where these skills have been demonstrated. They must also be in a position to have completed their Legal Practice Course before September 2018.
