Make It Your Business Maidstone - event for female entrepreneurs

MAKE IT YOUR BUSINESS TO SPOTLIGHT LOCAL FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS AS PART OF ITS FIRST MAIDSTONE EVENT

Tara Humphrey, Lauren Bennett and Jo James to share their business journey with aspiring Maidstone entrepreneurs

Make It Your Business, a nationwide initiative to encourage and support women to start their own business will spotlight several local entrepreneurs in its first Maidstone event this May.

Tara Humphrey, Founder of THC Primary Care, Lauren Bennett, Founder of Evoke Media Ltd and Jo James, Chief Executive of Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce will be on the panel, sharing their stories of starting their own businesses and offering advice to aspiring entrepreneurs. The event will be chaired by Claire Harvey, Founder, Action Coach.

Established by entrepreneur, writer and broadcaster Alison Cork, Make It Your Business runs seminars across the country, providing opportunities for women to meet established local female entrepreneurs, learn from their experiences and network with other local aspiring female entrepreneurs in a relaxed environment.

The MIYB seminar is on Thursday May 9th, 4pm at the Grange Hotel, 10 Saint Michael’s Road, Maidstone, ME16 8BS. The session starts with networking, followed by the panellists’ candid accounts of the highs and lows of starting a business, and then there will be plenty of time for questions from the audience.

Alison Cork, Founder of Make It Your Business said: "Make It Your Business is a UK wide initiative to encourage women to start their own business, and it works because we are building strong local networking groups that give women the vital moral and practical support they need. As someone who is an entrepreneur, I have a particular interest in helping to foster enterprise and support women who want to take that first step into owning a business.”
