Monday 14th March 2022

J C Rook & Sons, a familiar shopfront in high streets across the county, has shut, reportedly having gone into administration.
It is thought about 130 jobs are at risk across its 11 butchery, deli and takeaway premises.
The business, which sought to bring quality produce at affordable prices, has a large shop in The Mall.
The Broadstairs' shop's Facebook page said this morning: "It's a sad day. J C Rook & Sons went into administration last night. I got a phone call at 8pm saying we cannot open today or in the future."
The business was establshed in 1965.
