E-fit image issued after sex assault

Wednesday 25th March 2015

Detectives investigating allegations of a sexual assault on a teenage girl in Maidstone have released this e-fit image of a man they want to talk to.

The alleged attack happened as the girl was walking along Queen Anne Road on Saturday, March 14.

The victim was walking from the direction of King Street shortly after 11pm, when a man approached her from behind and started walking next to her.

He spoke to her before pinning her against a wall, holding her around the neck before sexually assaulting her. The victim managed to free herself and push the man off before running away.

The man is described as black and with a London accent. He was in his late 20s to early 30s, slim and around 5ft 7ins tall. He had short black hair, stubble and was wearing light blue jeans and a brown or black leather jacket.

Investigating officer PC Susan Vidgeon said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim.

“This assault occurred in a fairly busy road where motorists may have witnessed the incident. It is also possible that residents or pedestrians will have heard the victim shouting at the offender to let her go.”
