Free Heart of Kent Hospice Treasure Trail next month - details

Thursday 9th June 2022

Turn an ordinary day into a fun family adventure by taking part in a free Treasure Trail around Maidstone on Sunday 3 July 2022.
Organised by Heart of Kent Hospice, everyone is encouraged to dress up to enjoy the walking tour Treasure Trail which will take explorers past lots of amazing and famous sights around Maidstone town centre.  For your chance to win a prize, solve the clues as quickly as you can and reveal where the missing treasure is located.
The trail will start at the rear of Lockmeadow Entertainment Centre, and everyone has to follow the treasure map provided and solve the clues!
It’s easy to take part, just sign up, pick a start time and decide who will be the captain, navigator, first mate and those all-important lookouts!
Once the clues have been solved, bring the answer back to the pirate ship located in the village and tell the Captain, Chief Mate or one of the crew the answer.  At this point the timer will be stopped and the fastest team back will win the ultimate treasure prize!
There will be crew mates located throughout the Treasure Trail, so help is at hand if any explorers get stuck or a little lost.
The adventure should take around two hours and as well as a reward for the fastest team, there are more prizes to be won for the best explorers or pirate costumes.
Heart of Kent Hospice has organised the treasure trail with the help of Kent County Council who have funded the Family Fun Treasure Trail through the Reconnect Locality Grant which is a programme to help children and young people reconnect to their pre-pandemic lives by offering activities they can now enjoy together with family and friends.
