Man dies in car blaze outside Morrisons in Maidstone

A MAN has died in a car fire outside one of the county town's busiest supermarkets.
Kent Police joined Kent Fire and Rescue Service at Morrisons, on the A274 Sutton Road earlier this morning.
Ambulance crews also attended after receiving a call shortly after 4.20am.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "We was called to St Saviours Road, Maidstone, to reports of a car alight, and it was discovered a man had sadly died at the scene.
"Two fire engines attended along with Kent Police. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, which is not being treated as suspicious."
A Kent Police spokesman said: "One man was declared deceased at the scene and the incident is not being treated as suspicious. A report will be prepared for the coroner."
