Schools' summer fetes

Monday 16th June 2014

Tiger Primary’s Parents and Wider Support (PAWS) group is preparing for their second summer fete, from 11.30am to 2.30pm on Saturday, June 28.

The event at New Line Learning Academy, in Boughton Lane, will offer games, a bouncy castle, barbecue and a special appearance from Tiggy, the school's mascot. There will also be an entertainment arena with live music, performances and lots of prizes.

To book a stall at the event for £15, contact the Tiger PAWS team at tigerpaws@futureschoolstrust.com.

The following weekend, on July 5, the student commission team at Cornwallis Academy is organising a summer fair in the academy’s grounds in Hubbards Lane, Linton from noon to 3pm.

The event will include a barbecue, bouncy castles, performances and fete favourites such as a tombola and hook-the-duck. Admission is 50p for adults and free for children and proceeds will go to the students’ nominated charity, Crossroads Young Carers.

Pitches are £10 or free for charities. For more information or to book a stall, email summer.fayre@futureschoolstrust.com or call 01622 743286, extension 210.
