Tonbridge and Malling residents get best value for council tax in Kent - survey

RESIDENTS in Tonbridge and Malling get the best value for council tax in Kent, a new survey has revealed.
A money comparison website assessed public service performance against the cost to the rate-payer.
It also included the provision of fire, police and county council services.
Household waste recycling, emergency repsonse times and crime levels were tested for an average Band D house hold. It gave TMBC residents a rating of 3.27/10.
Thanet was at the other end of the scale with arating of 1.61 while Maidstone was fifth in the county 2.68.
By comparison, Wandsworth in south west London fared much better with 7.5/10 but Great Yarmouth was the country's worst at just 0.76/10.
